Generated values are random and belong to no one. Card numbers pass validation checks but were never issued.
From a URL
Every setting above is a query parameter. Fetch it from tests, seed scripts or CI, and keep the seed to get identical data on every run.
From an AI agent
Add faker.dev/mcp to Claude, Cursor or any MCP client and ask for test data in plain English, like "50 German customers as SQL inserts."
API
One endpoint, no key
Send a GET with the fields you want. The response carries its seed in the X-Faker-Seed header, so you can repeat any request exactly.
fields- Comma-separated fields. Name a column with
column:field, likesignup:date_this_year. count- Rows, 1 to 1,000. Default 10.
locale- Such as
en_GBorja_JP. Comma-separate several to mix them. seed- Same seed, same rows. Adding fields or rows leaves existing values alone.
formatjson,ndjson,csvorsql. For SQL, alsotable,dialectandcreate_table.
Up to 1,000 rows, 40 fields and 20,000 cells per request, and 60 requests a minute per IP. Seeds stay stable until the underlying Faker version changes; relative fields such as past_date move with today's date. Full reference at /docs.
